Here's Playboy's Artist Centerfolds

When word caught on that Playboy’s January/February edition would feature artist-commissioned centerfolds (by Richard Prince, Cindy Sherman, and Tracy Emin among others), press started wondering if it would “re-invent the nude as art.” Well, we just got hold of that issue to see what all the fuss was about. For the most part, these seven artists skipped around the centerfold conceit: the works don’t always deal with centerfolds or sex, even. To save you the time, money, and potential embarrassment of buying Playboy, we’ve included all the images included in the magazine and our commentary, below.
