Besides the whole racism issue and the whole Republicans/Nazis thing, Dunham also addresses another controversial topic, namely, her love for Taylor Swift. Dunham tells New York that she "just loves Taylor Swift" and that "anyone who thinks Taylor Swift isn’t good for the girl cause has to be crazy, because any woman who’s dominating the charts, the creative director of her own empire, and made whatever millions of dollars last year is only lifting us up."
So, Lena Dunham really, really likes Taylor Swift and also, as it turns out, Katy Perry. Dunham says that Perry, "is a brilliant, hilarious Democrat genius." That's right—a "Democrat genius." So, definitely not a Nazi, in case you were wondering. Dunham also says some stuff about Drake and about her camp boyfriend who is not famous but who wanted to be "a rapper" and it is, overall, a very charming interview, even though I still don't really like Taylor Swift, which means that maybe I'm supposed to, according to Dunham, "Just go home and listen to [my] German techno and leave [her] alone." Which, yeah. That makes perfect sense. I have no sense of joy. I really don't.
