Where to Drink
Obviously, you can't have a Mad Men-inspired list of what to do this weekend without including a good place to drink. But where to go exactly? Well, in honor of Peggy Olson , who hails from Bay Ridge, may we suggest going to Three Jolly Pigeons? Although the bar, "does not exactly capture the spirit of 1967," according to Bay Ridge-resident and noted Three Jolly Pigeons aficionado, Henry Stewart, it was around during that era and has something of a timeless vibe going for it. An alternative is Montero's in Brooklyn Heights. Montero's has been around since 1947 and is certainly evocative of another time and place than the Brooklyn of today. Is it perfectly representative of what Don Draper would have been doing in 1967? No. But, you know, you will never really be Don Draper. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
