You know what a huge part of adulthood is? Besides vehement, misplaced sentimentality for anything and everything relating to your youth? Admitting when you've made a mistake. Everyone drops the ball sometimes, and a series of loud new Spotify ads indicates to me that I have done just that.
What happened is, when I wrote this post back in May running down this summer's weirdly large array of 90's nostalgia tours to choose from, I left out something big, something important, something called the Unity Tour, featuring 311, Cypress Hill, and G Love and Special Sauce. This was a misstep.
A misstep, I hope, that's made up for by news that this tour is coming to Jones Beach this very weekend, with tickets available for as little as $20. To put things in perspective, you can't get tickets to the Sugar Ray/Smashmouth extravaganza, which is all the way out in Huntington, for anything less than $71.50. I checked. As with everything else, do with this information what you will, and know that we never intended to keep this news under wraps for as long as we did (well, everyone else who makes decisions here probably would have, but not me). Jah bless.
