And while it's tough to pick a definitive favorite in a varied set that including gems like "Your Cover's Blown", "Simple Things", and "Le Pastie de la Bourgeosie", the peak of blissed-out energy was probably a late-set rendition of 1998's "The Boy With the Arab Strap" that featured a stage full of the happiest fans in the world who'd been waived on stage by Stuart Murdoch. They all danced like maniacs, first to the side of the stage and then all across it, surrounding the band like a warm hug of total joy. (They stayed on stage for a big, groovy version of "Legal Man" and did some funny Rockettes leg kicks.)
