Anne of Green Gables Lucy Maud Montgomery
It's bad enough when book covers are needlessly sexed up, but when it's a children's book
? That's extra bad. This book cover makes Anne look less like a young girl who was sent to live on a farm, and more like the stereotypical farmer's daughter. But far more egregious than that is the fact that the Anne on the cover is blonde
. Blonde! No! Anne Shirley is a redhead. Having red hair is integral to the plot and to the experience of being Anne Shirley. This cover is the worst.
