Flowers In the Attic V.C. Andrews

So, this cover looks nice! Attractive, Children of the Corn-y teenage couple embrace on a sunny day, with a mansion in the background. Cute! Except, wait. That's not what this book is about! That couple on the cover are actually brother and sister and they spend years imprisoned in that mansion's attic where they are forced to do things like drink each other's blood for sustenance, all the while being poisoned with arsenic by their own mother. This cover is flagrantly, creepily deceptive. Not cool.
