Just a few minutes with instructor Jules Skloot and a hula-hoop, and you’ll feel like a little kid again (possibly even the energetic little kid you never were). This five-week workshop takes you from hooping basics like walking with your hoop to moving your hoop up and down your body and even lassoing! Workshop classes build on technique, but if you’re just dropping in you’ll get to practice new tricks and, most importantly, let go and have fun. Jules is an inspiring teacher who makes you feel good about just showing up, particularly when he fires up the Dolly Parton. Hoopin’ is good for the heart and abs, but you can also add wrist weights for arm toning.
