Shadmi ran out of crayons? I don't see anything that represents anything other than the first couple weeks of the pools debut. After the massive hype of a brand new pool opening to thousands of people that have never been to a city pool. A debut marred by a lot of incidents directly attributable to poor planning by NYC parks to help park visitors to have a safe, fun time with educational information (rules, guidelines, restrictions, maps) I don't see any frames that show the last half of July or the whole of August when thousands of people came and enjoyed themselves without incident. The pool is wonderful. Try as they might, the agents of gentrification at L magazine have failed (perhaps intentionally) to show you the truth. L Magazine just keeps blowing smoke up the asses of hipsters still crying over the loss of the pool parties, by insisting the pool is a failure. Don't believe the hype.

Nice try, changing the race of the teens doing backflips, fighting and assaulting lifeguards. Also no mention of the racist attack on a local Polish girl.

Great series! "I live closer than you" should reconsider who the pretentious one is. The blog and press coverage has been ridiculous. I have enjoyed free lap swimming on several occasions now and the facilities are top notch. The gym also looks really nice and is way more affordable than a private gym. Free lunches for kids and lots of community events. I think the city did a great job.

These pics focus on the small 5% of whites that makeup the pool, ya'll know its mostly Ricans and blacks. Be real..
