That photo of Marina was taken in 1973 in the back of a Belgrade IHOP.

You forgot Frank O'Hara, Irving Rosenthal, Joe Brainard and Dennis Cooper.
You forgot Egon Schiele! Lived fast, made great art and died young.
Oh I thought these were production shots from the movie Solarbabies.
Tang Dynasty, super hip poet, Li Po. Wine swillin', sword fightin', verse chantin', nerve twistin', hard travelin', taoist wanderin' . Drowned leaping into the water of the Yangtze to embrace the reflection of the moon. Through Ernest Fenollosa, Erza Pound influences the Beats. Been hip for 1200 years. Now that he's finally not on the definite list, even more hip.
So it's a busy bar, with a good looking staff, with good food and drinks. How is this a bad review? Just because it's not in your hipster neighborhood?
That's Comm. Doherty, not Green-Wood Pres. Moylan with marty.
We met Ms. Russo on 1/16/10, one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She fell in love with my 3yr. old grandson on the spot, as he did with her. We live in Ma. and it was by chance we stoped at Kasias, to eat(the food was great). I hope we get to meet again, someday.
Thought provoking list - in a totally un-hip, hip response, I'll admit I know about 60 percent, so I'm going to starting wiki-ing those. I'd like to add Tom Waits, partly b/c he shares my birthday, partly b/c of his kick-ass voice and lyrics. Also, Jeff Beck, today. He plays the most hipster guitar ever and his song "What MaMa Said" is great turned up on the radio cruising down Penn State roads - its like you're on a friggin' spaceship - HIPPPPPSTER canon material...and ultimately the guy who did "Fact or Fiction" back in the late 70s in Burlington, VT. - hipppppster_ lower case. shhhhhhhh...be cool.
Looks like the final nail in Coney's coffin--and I'm no pessimist--despite the encouraging turnout that weekend-and on the following one(Disclosure: I,too, signed the petition). Here's hoping for a miracle.I refuse to knowingly visit any of Zamperla's concessions.-Bruce Thorpe
the people in this slideshow are the definition of cool. hipsters are not cool, they just want everyone to think they are. living in a loft in williamsburg that your parents pay for while walking around looking tortured in (or by) skinny jeans doesn't make you cool. it just makes you sad.
i dare you to find a party at the <3 gang house without table dancing. I DARE YOU
Who IS that girl in the red tutu?
