Re: “Pole Dancing in the Sun at PS1

For just over a decade now, MoMA PS1 NYC has sponsored the terrific Young Architects Program, in which emerging architecture firms compete to design and build the installation that will transform the museum's courtyard all summer long. The results have been mixed over the years–last summer's "
hair village" was particularly ill-conceived, we thought, whereas Public Farm 1 of 2008 was pretty brilliant–but it's become a favorite summer ritual of ours, to check out the new structure.

Re: “Inside the Artist's Studio: Jenny Morgan in Bushwick

"Jenny Morgan - Self Portrait" is the first video composition of the acclaimed young painter from New York City. Morgan discusses the more intimate details of several of her most compelling paintings of the last 4 years, works that have defined her as one of the top emerging talents in the US. Known for her exquisite and revealing self portraits as well as her interpretations of other people in her life, Morgan's body of work redefines the genre of contemporary portraiture.

Filmed in August, 2011 at the end of her summer residency in Denver, Colorado. Directed by Plus Gallery owner Ivar Zeile and assistant Ryan Pattie. Composition and editing by Ryan Pattie.

Re: “Inside the Internet Art Bubble

I think you are totally right. Trecartin is 16th century kitsch and arcangel is sentimental victim of the 70's. I don't trust the defensive comments here. People are just afraid to think differently especially after promoting these artists in every kitschen - ha ha - and possible blog.

I promise you, as super stupid woman I can recognize my kind from a far. The works these artists produce are simply not intelligent.

Ta ta,
