Whatever happened to downtown records, upstairs record, downstairs records and Irie Ike's in NYC?
The Thing in brooklyn..every piece $2 ea. I remember New York Spotlight and sound in Columbus. If you are in eastern Ohio why not make a day trip to "Jerry's Records in Pittsburgh? It is a huge organized vinyl paradise right in your own backyard. Most record store success comes from the buyers luck. I just depends on what you're looking for i guess
I love her.

About last night's show in NYC Terminal 5 What a superb Gob-smacking review, thank you to Jeff Klingsman for this posting this review on Savages band showtime, love the way it captured the feelings and atmosphere, great piece of writing and photos. It absolutely sent tingles down my spine with excitement. Our Brit band Savages Ripped and Rocked NYC. Just wish I could have been there at terminal 5 Gig, Legend.
This is nicely done
well, as I explained (or maybe not..?) in the final paragraph, the film loses some of its oomph by the rich white man's necessity to appear as Northrup's savior. Since the actor playing him - "Brad" - also ensured 12 YEARS A SLAVE got made, you could even interpret his cameo as, well, transactional. Maybe even unintentionally racist (!)
If you don't have a problem with that, then keep on Eradicating Racism via internet comments.
Good review, except why the hate for Brad? He ensured this film got made, what have you done lately?
johnny is going by what the DEA says ,,, and to build there case to make it look like they busted a big ring ,, when in fact PAT just got his case over turned and cut free because of all the lies the head agent made up!!! that lady needs to be in jail ,,, as for TMR, posting this picture of a raciest movie to make it look like TMR is a crew of that kind is even funnier ,, they have never been like that ever there crew is people of all walks of life asian, white ,black , spanish , indian u name it. i can go on for a hour typing names of writers and where there family stems from but that would give more ammo to this agent lady to start a new case and put more guys in jail ,, if ur a family member or say hello to a old Graffitti member watch ur ass u might get 5 years and ur family accused of being a gang member to make it look like there a crazy drug dealer ,,,
Some of these are great books. Thanks for sharing!
yes, that was the first movie I thought of, too; the difference is here you know they're dead by the end of Act I.
@Michael I thought that metaphor was kinda shallow, but I agree that it's a technical marvel.
Sorry guys but I lived in Bay Ridge for years and I can say that with a few movements here or there this list fairly accurate. It's called the 'most livable neighborhoods'. Sorry to be blunt but many of these areas people are mentioning in the comments are not super-'livable'. Gravesend? Seriously?
would it be crazy for you to tell us where is opening? What theater?
I am 100% sure that this can be solved by willpower. The problem is not everyone of us has this kind of thinking - moderation, willpower. That's why rehab centers and treatment centers are there in the first place.
why not add when/where they are all playing...
you have tasty tears, Brooklyn Street Corner
