Check out Brooklyn Terrace Rooftop Lounge. It has the best views in Brooklyn www.brooklynterrace.com
zitos? really?
These were all good, but, unfortunately, Trader Joe's has quit carrying the spicier items such as Dal Makhani. The milder stuff isn't to my taste.
Soccer Tavern has been around FOREVER and will be around just as long - thanks to the sad, hardcore alkies of ALL ethnicities, ages, colors, and creeds that congregate there.
I live around the corner from the shithole and wish to God it WOULD die, but that ain't ever gonna happen.
That place is the worst.
Personally, it hurts my eyes to read in a "dimly lit" bar.
Larry Lawrence, best outdoor space? That is so ridiculous I insulted myself just typing it.
High Dive has a far superior jukebox as far as I am concerned, and Owl Farm (while completely amazing!) is only one of MANY beer nerd meccas in park slope. Have we not been to Bierkraft, Beer Table, Mission Dolores (runner up), The Gate, 4th Ave pub, The Double Windsor, Die Koelner Bierhalle, or Der Kommissar? Come now.
I love that Bossa Nova made the cut. But hopefully the hype means that their prices stay the same and they get enough money to let us use our credit cards.
I should mention that it is NOT a taco stand across the street (the men and women who own and work there will get very offended if you ask for tacos, as they do not serve them there). It's a Dominican food truck. Tacos are Mexican.
Greenwood Park hates kids, yo. So do most of the people who go there. Just because something's in the slope doesn't make it kid friendly.
The author is wrong about the patrons at Greenwood Park. We DO care that there are children there, especially when they are throwing gravel at everyone and their parents think its cute.
Greenwood Park had a NOTORIOUS fight with the stroller-set. They no longer allow kids AT ALL!! Some group of asshole teachers said, "we deal with kids all day and we don't want to see them at the bar!"
I really don't care either way, but here's what I think: "I went to school for 21 fucking years and I don't ever want to see another teacher again!"
Isn't Greenwood Park notorious for NOT allowing kids? I was almost positive they had a strict no one under 21 policy after 4 PM.
There ARE better places! maybe you want to run a survey to find what actually is TRUE! You can use SoGoSurvey, the bets online survey tool that is packed with features, yet affordable!
soy, corn, bread, and cheese are the foods i think are the most overrated. try to order something at any mainstream restaurant that doesn't contain gluten, soy, corn, or dairy. even the salads have soybean oil/corn oil in the dressing, cheese, and then comes with meat that is breaded (with flour that contains gluten) and then fried.
20 Best Bars for L Mag editors to frequent (and frequent and frequent) so as to maintain cool detachment and perpetuate perennial out-of-touch-ness with bulk of their readership
Frankly, it's refreshing to see a best-of list that isn't the same obvious, overhyped spots.
As a Windsor Terrace resident, I am thankful that the author considers my hood outer outer, rather remain in its current fashion to reduce the Double Windsor spill over effect.
Does Pork Slope have a substantial amount of TVs? That is pretty important for a sports bar.
Yeah this list wreaks of lameness what about beloved for cocktails?
It's a very Proto-cool vibe list, coolest bar not even open yet (?) and coolest bar that's closed down(???). Give us all a break with your list. Do some work you fucking lazy ass bitch.
Take your thumb out of your asses it's seems you should call it the best hipster bars by a hipster there are real bars out there and the soccer bar will be around a lot longer than your dumb column.
