Re: “The 8 Best “Summer” Dishes to Make in March

The first & third commenter above me are COMPLETE idiots. The pictures are awesome, and the food looks great. Simple & Summery...with a very "L" color scheme. Keep at it Art Department!!

Haters gon hate. Internet trolls gon troll.

Re: “We Can Do Better: The 10 Most Overrated Foods

oh! this is the worst list! I would think "overrated" would include things that were popular on menus everywhere within the last 3 years, not basic ingredients to cook with....especially not truffles. Remember when everything had a little frisée garnish, or excessive use of foams? This list is like saying water is overrated....because obviously the writer is going for the ironic: it's not really overrated I just strive to be ironic list.
NO BUENO!!

This is one of the many reasons I like L Magazine so much. Nicely done, Cathy Erway!

Re: “We Can Do Better: The 10 Most Overrated Foods

@Jeff Rey Charles Aldridge: Genetic biodiversity is important to a healthy ecosystem, and while there are numerous individual, or "heritage" breeds of cattle (and heirloom varieties of fruits/vegetables), many aren't bred/cultivated industrially and some have even become extinct. Raising them for food is one practical way to ensure their survival and promote much-needed biodiversity. Check out more about it here: http://albc-usa.org/ and here: http://heritagefoodsusa.com

Corn didn't take the top spot? If butter is in almost everything, then corn is in EVERYTHING!

hope the "least exploited foods" list is more compelling.

If a breed was threatened, why would we spark a craze to kill it and eat it?

Re: “Brooklyn’s 10 Best New Restaurants

Quick comment on Littleneck:
I'll stick to the facts. We made a reservation for 8people (6adults &2kids) for an early saturday night dinner. We all arrived on time and we were shown a booth for 6people. The staffer assumed the kids would sit on someone's lap for the entire dinner service. We quickly said 'No thanks" and we prepared to leave. A short haired blonde woman was apologetic and said they could make it right if we waited a few minutes. So the 8 of us waited by the front door for 15mins and we were shown a 4top (table for 4people)! I wish I was joking. Another waiter (balding guy) said you might be a little tight but it should work. We politely said No Thanks again and walked out. It is a shame common sense is often overlooked as part of "good service"
