is this an advertisement? seriously how much money did they pay you to write this? and if nothing, you stoopit
**pssstttt!!!** Check your spelling!
:D
I've been a couple of times, and been blown away by the ribs. Also, good place to have a drink with the open doors bringing in fresh air, and making the block smell delicious.
The Kimchi Taco Truck should be on this list...and they just opened up a restaurant in Prospect Heights!!! Kimchi Grill (766 Washington Avenue)
It's all so exciting...and delicious.
The Angus breed isn't even close to being extinct
Didn't this place open ages ago? A few months back I had the ribs. They were not great.
What a relief not to see Pie and Thighs on here. Anyone else think it's totally overrated?
@Guest
Well, we could start running vicious takedowns of old diners in Gravesend, I guess. Please don't hurt your ass on our magazine.
Ever notice that most of the "reviews" in this magazine are odes to mediocre bars and restaurants in either Carroll Gardens, Prospect Heights, Park Slope, or Williamsburg?
The editors must not pay reviewers for subway fare.
At least with those orange boxes everywhere, I don't have to buy toilet paper...
Best Burger: Skinflints, Bay Ridge order with sauteed mushroom on the side
I love SkyIce. Best Salted Caramel anywhere. Haven't tried the black sesame seaweed, but i'm sure it's amazing. They make the weirdest sounding combinations taste so good. You just have to try them.
About the tacos: this is sort of ridiculous. Williamsburg? Carroll Gardens? Have any of you heard of Sunset Park? Mexican food is even better when you don't eat it in a neighborhood where everyone's a trustafarian.
Mm Mm Mm, I <3 Mm Mm Milk Bar. Y'all are just jealous that you don't taste as good as those corny corn corn cookies!
P.S. I think the cereal in their milk is actually grape nuts. You can taste the grape.
Additionally, I don't appreciate my comments being deleted due to the inaccuracy of YOUR article. It is not my fault you didn't do your research and that I pointed out your failings. To reiterate, these are the things you did not properly address: 1) cereal milk flavor is made with cornflakes, NOT Froot Loops (which you misspelled as "fruit") 2) bagel bomb is made dill and cucumber cream cheese, NOT chives.
P.S. your company deleting my comment proves your lack of professionalism
umm the flavor isn't froot loops dude it's cornflakes :( and it's yummy
THEY ARE NOT BAKED IN A FACTORY. THE STAFF ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ANSWER YOUR KITCHEN QUESTIONS -- BELIEVE ME, I HAVE PLENTY!!!!!! AND THEY HAVE ANSWERED THEM ALL. THEY WILL ALSO TELL YOU IT IS NYC LAW TO HAVE THEM PACKAGED AND LABELED AS SUCH SINCE THEY ARE NOT BAKED IN THAT BUILDING! THANK BLOOMBERG, NOT TOSI.
i just don't understand why if you order what appears to be a recently baked cookie or slice of pie in a little display case on the counter, they reach into a drawer and give you a cookie sealed in a celophane bag or a slice of pie in a pre-packaged chipboard sleeve. If I'm paying those prices at least give the impression that they were not made like 3 days ago at some factory!
There are a lot of good breads out there with a variety of grains, and local grain projects are really getting popular. Not a bad idea for an article, but this one isn't well informed at all. I think as NY'ers we should be excited about what's going on in the bread movement right now, unlike Cathy, who likes to pretend it's 1990.
Its interesed news. very thx!

Not only is this particular article pointless and misguided, you don't even bother to list recipes, or recommend specific dishes to try at restaurants around Brooklyn. You only offer some bullshit, abstract ideas of food items. how fucking lazy.
I wish this publication as a whole tried harder. The art direction is like watered down Urban Outfitters catalogs and the overall taste level is boring when it's not horribly short-sighted. I hope the content is guided more by your advertisers than genuine interest. I can't think of any other reason to promote such middling creative pursuits.
Aside from Paddy Johnson's column, this is such a heap of crap.
