I love the Indian Food as well. I remember reading a bit back that it's made and packaged by the same company that sells the "Tasty Bite" line of foods in other Supermarkets. The Dorot frozen herbs isn't a Trader Joe's produced product though, I've been all about the Frozen Ginger cubes for ages.
Melt is not a sports bar, thank goodness.
I've had a great time at MikNic Lounge. The people behind the bar are fantastic and the locals are a great.
You want whiskey? They'll one up you with a pickleback!
People that shell out the crazy amount of money for Jeni's overpriced, not-that-good ice cream are SUCKERS. Plain and simple. We have better ice cream here than most of the country combined.
I am in Portland and Hot Suppa is the best ever.
Why does everyone from Columbus have three names? This is so weird.
I think Jeni might be planning to open in Brooklyn. She's probably heard my Brooklyn relatives, and visitors to those relatives, moan and sigh in envy. Xx2k
Love you Jeni's. Even Colorado doesn't have you yet but we're hoping you come to us soon.
So happy to see Jeni's represented! Columbus residents can also gloat over Brooklynites when it comes to the mind-blowing veggie burgers at NorthStar (some combination of beets, black beans and brown rice that I've never ever seen duplicated) and the insane hot dogs at Dirty Frank's (the "Classy Lady" has potato chips and cheese sauce, the "Ohioana" has sweet corn relish with celery salt, and the feminist proprietor owns three other amazing restaurants all worth checking out, and all super cheap). I also miss the veggie-friendly and health-conscious fare of Cleveland Heights restaurant Tommy's (tuna, mushroom and falafel pita sandwich!), and in Pittsburgh, Kaya's Peruvian fusion (their signature burger has a secret sauce and AN EGG on it). Most days I feel there's nothing more I could ask for in terms of Brooklyn dining, but these locales make me miss the Midwest. Great article!
Bark has great breakfast sandwiches!

How could you not mention the breakfast burritos at Naidre's Cafe? : (
Write-In Vote: any breakfast sandwich from Smith Canteen in Carroll Gardens.
Art bar isn't too shabby either, if you can stand the paintings.
I hate being the "you missed this one..." commenter on 'Top' lists, but for such a niche idea, how many fireplace bars are there in Brooklyn that CAMP on Smith Street didn't make this list? They have s'mores! S'mores!
Spritzenhaus may have a fireplace, but no amount of romantically-burning hardwood will make up for how bad their service is and how terrible this place is overall. Should be in no top 10 list unless you're making said list for bars to avoid.
Thank you for including TUFFET! That's my favorite place to hole up.
Argh, will fix. Thanks a bunch, sorry, etc.
FYI, the pic you used for Black Rabbit is actually Metropolitan, and the pic for Metropolitan... not sure, but perhaps they got switched?
it also smells like cigarette smoke and fried food and the wine is so overpriced you wonder if you're paying for someone's NYU education...
