Community MH Worker-- sounds like you've never had to contest a claim with medical insurance, or had to watch people be refused life-saving procedures because of insurance.
It is a racket- it wasn't always, but it's turned into one.
its my first time i want to take my 22 year old girlfriend to a sex party where can i go in ny my email is email@example.com
LOOKS LIKE TOBACCO ROAD; THAT'S A JOKE CALLING IT A GATED COMMUNITY...I GUESS FOR POOR WHITE TRASH
So, a doctor charges $500 a visit, because he can. The insurance negotiates it to $300. The patient pays $25. Where is the racket?
And insurance companies don't make money on "kids with brain cancer". They make money on the kids who DON'T get brain cancer.
I admire what he does for community health. But the soap box needs to go away.
Breezy point is not a town..it's part QUEENS! These neighbors banned together, put gates and flags around their houses..Gated Community! LOL MOTHER NATURE just moved in!!! gate That!
Tell the New York Times. This is how city neighborhoods get and change their names, by people deciding where they begin and end and what they're called. There's no naming commission. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/03/08/fashion/…
Brooklyn sucks. It's a wannabe posing to be cool. It's for losers who can't make it in Manhattan. Manhattan is *the* place to be.
This list is ass, I can find better restaurants outside of Hipsterville (Williamsburg, DUMBO, Boreum Hill, Vingear Hill).
um, Vinegar Hill House is NOT in DUMBO. it's in Vinegar Hill. For a publication that has their offices in DUMBO, I would expect this to be more accurate.
What about BK Heights? Yea, most places are TERRIBLE, but there has been some progress worth noting the past couple years....Colonie? Jack the Horse? No love?
Cochinita is definitely a close 2nd in Clinton Hill. Totally different categories though.
yeah, three short blocks and flushing ave ... no one, including residents, thought of that as bushwick until they built their little "arts strip" and decided it would sound cooler if they told their friends it was bushwick (edgy!)
and seriously, no love for bed stuy?
no love for Bedstuy?!?
Seriously.. ENOUGH with Franny's! It's not even good!
Technically, Roberta's is three short blocks from the northern boundary of Bushwick, but the boundary is a matter of convention -- it's unofficial -- and everyone, including residents, think of the Bogart Street arts strip, which Roberta's is on, as part of Bushwick.
Scalino deserves a mention.
Roberta's is actually in Williamsburg.
