Yes! I don't know if it's just a Marvel in-house thing or if Whedon is trying to shake things up but I'm a little surprised by the lack of Unfamous Whedon Alumni recruited for the SHIELD show, at least so far. I would've figured at least a third of the cast of Much Ado About Nothing would follow Clark Gregg back to that set. Hopefully he'll at least get Carlos Jacott in there at some point.
Why does a sex positive, self-proclaimed cad tell you to wait!? To weed out fellows such as himself? I'm confused.
ah, too many Seths. I'd rather see Seth Green in Joss Whedon's show. You could add him to that photo to make it symmetrical.
I believe that's Seth Green in MacFarlane's show, not Seth Rogen, which I think downgrades the show from "awesome!/oh well" a la Faris on CBS from just the normal "whew, I watch too much TV anyway."
My hopes for S.H.I.E.L.D. would be considerably higher if they could have gotten their shit together and at least fucking centered everyone on the crest thing in the background of their press photo. Terrible.
Love this. And especially love point 4. I used to be all about men going down on me until I realised that for some it's very wrapped up in this weird egotistical "I want to make you come to prove how manly I am" thing. That pressure to come to turn him on just fucks the whole thing up.
I maybe wrong but isn't this song about the women to drive movement in Saudi Ariabia...and not car sex? I'm pretty sure this is about women's rights.

We are green. As a life long resident of Staten Island I have been composting for 20 years. I have 3 active compost and I collect waste from my neighbors and many of the fancy health food stores in Brooklyn! My father began commuting to work by bicycle in 1978, a tradition I have upheld since 1998. Generalizations and stereotypes don't help anyone.
So please don't resort to Staten Island bashing to make a point. It's unbecoming at best and a stale leftover of pre-Sandy New York.
Williamsburg looks great now.
Whatever, no one wants the fatties other then the brother from the hood, so the selection process sounds great. Nothing close minded about that, look around you for a change.

Shimizu, as offered here by Eclipse series offers a necessary link as you mention, from Naruse to Ozu and we are all the better beneficiaries of. the missing link we need to see to completely and understand their culture before they got eat up with occupation of building a world war machine was a collection of warm Sundays and vacationing at summer resorts. none it that much different from our own selves.
I think the two of them have wasted to many years in not working together because of this constant bickering back and forth. They could have accomplished so much more wonderful and terrific music together if they had just been able to get their acts together professionally. When they are on the right page with each other there is nothing better.

This is a little unhinged, and Foer is flatly dishonest.
I was curious enough to have a look at that passage in his book. He backs up his claims with reference to an article entitled "Fish welfare: Current issues in aquaculture," in Applied Animal Behaviour Science vol 104.
So I had a look at that article. It pretty much says the opposite of what he represents it as saying. One of the very first things it acknowledges is that many scientists assert that "fish lack essential brain regions or any functional equivalent, making it untenable that they can experience pain and fear."
So for him to assert "you never have to wonder if the fish on your plate had to suffer. It did." on the basis of that article is total BS.
