How about the bomb that exploded at Queen's first World's Fair in the 1930s? That one killed a couple of people, including cops. In those days, the bomb squad was so new that it also was in charge of forgeries too.

As to why occupants after the Lutz's didn't experience anything, no mystery there, ghosts or whatever is there isn't stupid. Who knows what the next occupants will experience? We're talking six murders by a guy who was obviously off balance himself and we shouldn't expect anything weird from it? What does create haunted houses then, if not that? Trouble is people talk more than they're willing to do. Think it's a hoax, all BS? There's one way to find out, be the next resident. I have lived in haunted houses myself and I know from experience how selective spirits can be because I was excluded from their activity. I had to be outside to hear any footsteps.

There's been a lot said about the Amityville situation. Some say it was a desperate attempt on the part of the Lutz's to get out from under. The difficulty with that view is why would they take on the extra debt of the house? Let's toss that one. Another problem is why hasn't the owner attempted lawsuit if it's all fabrication? He also could sell the house he currently resides in and live in the house on Ocean Ave, if he's not too afraid that is. No, I believe the haunting is true. There's an eerie feeling from just looking at it.

I wasn't sure if they were actually going to take off the hand or just make it useless since it's a hassle during filming. Good for staying true!
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will get to stretch his acting chops this season. Inbetween GoT shows, check out "Headhunters." (If you haven't already.) But get the original dutch with subtitles - someone else dubbed over Nikolaj was reallt off-putting.

I'm curious to know how you would have reacted in Catelyn's position to be able to criticize her like that.
You would have let Jaime die for nothing ? I'd say Cat did better than that at least there's a very little chance of getting her daughters back.
If you remember, Robb wasn't there and Kastark was about to kill Jaime in the night without Robb consent, he would have lost his bargaining chip anyway.
About Tyrion's capture : Cat never decided to have Tyrion prisonner, she reacted to the fact that he spotted her on her way back from King's Landing. If you remember, the need for secrecy in her journey was absolute, she couldn't risk the fact that the Lannisters learn of her secret meeting with Ned or they would start to be very very suspicious of the Starks, without the benefit of having Tyrion prisonner, potentially making Ned's situation in the capital a lot worse (Cat has no way to know that Tyrion isn't knee-deep in his sibling's plots, or that the fact that Littlefinger knew of her visit was as dangerous as being spotted by Tyrion).
On both these occasions, Cat reacted to prevent what she saw as a coming disaster, and even with our added knowledge (which Cat is far from having) we can't say if she was right or not.
Can you pretend to be certain that Kastark would have waited for Robb to get his revenge on Jaime when his sons died on the day of his failed escape?
Can you pretend to be certain that Tyrion wouldn't have told anyone in his family of his encounter with Cat halfway between KL and Winterfell?
It's easy to see that her actions resulted in negative results but can you really say with certainty that the alternative would have worked better?
For what it's worth, i'm not particularly a Catelyn's fan but her actions have caused a lot less pain for the Stark team than nearly any other Stark if you look at it critically.

I agree. Thanks for this list! ...Eraas is a gem. Saw them live. The singer is a busy guy. I think they could make a better three piece. Give him some slack. Nonetheless, I see a great future ahead for them.

Woah, had seen this already but did not catch the walk to the elevator! I like him a lot. For trash-talking Morrissey for one but his music is great and he has the chops to back up whatever avatar he uses.
