Re: “Ranking the 13 Most Livable Neighborhoods in Brooklyn

I dont understand how you can say access is a 6 for Williamsburg. It takes me 20 min to get to almost anywhere below midtown. There are tons of taxi's. There is a car service right there. There is a ferry that goes to it from the city. The BQE/LIE is right there. As is a bridge right into the city.

What? The L is crowded during rush hour? Good thing there is one every 5 min. And most of the people you highlight as being positive to the neighborhood are not traveling on the L at 8:30 anyway. And, even if you do... its just a few min to Union Sq and you can get relief.

Access should be a 10. It is by far the easiest place to get in/out of in BK. If you do that, it is tied with Park Slope. Which sounds about right.

Re: “A Traveler's Nightmare: Couchsurfing in NYC

Ridiculous! Why didn't you leave? It was obvious that it was not an ok situation. No it's not required to give the keys to guests and it does not have to happen. I happen to do it, but know plenty of ppl who don't. Sometimes hosts mention it on their profile.

But the biggest thing here, whether you think that the writer is right to complain or not, is that he, at all times had the choice to leave. Thank your GF if she didn't leave you after forcing her to stay 4 nights in such an unpleasant situation.

Re: “What to Expect When You're Expecting Butt Sex

I'm happy for those who enjoy it to indulge in all the anal sex they like; personally, not a fan for myself, after a little experience. If a guy tells me he wants to engage in anal sex w. me, I'll tell him I"m pretty sure I can get ahold of a good strap-on, and will happily indulge his desire to be f**cked. In any case, he'd need to take it first, before I do.

Re: “Your Brief Guide to NYC's Underground Sex Parties

Very interesting to read all the comments. Yes, I agree that all parties can be a hit or miss at any given time - so to critique any of these entities written above solely based on one visit is probably not a true write up about these entities, their parties and their organizers.

NY City is ever so changing that one goes down the other comes up. Case in point ---

A new Entity called Tri-State Swingers Group has been quietly building up for the last couple of years that I know of. They are "Unique" in that the founder(s) have been building up their presence and membership base on various well know Swing Sites as well as developing their own Brand - very different than all others - simply to stay out of competing with others - and instead fill in the gaps where others have not been paying attention.

One particular example of filling the gap(s) is the Launching of the Annual East Coast Swing Life Convention - hosted by Tri-State Swingers Group - in affiliation with the EXXXOTICA's Love & Sex Expo(s) in Edison & Atlantic City, NJ.... this to me is talking a bold step which no other local club or group even thought of.

I would say, keep a watch on this new arrival on the scene and what they have to offer... YOU MAY BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED !!!

A Veteran Lifestyle Member since the days of "Platos Retreat" and the legendary Larry & Mary Levenson duo..... had the privilege to be friends with them :)

Re: “9 Brooklyn Bartenders Talk Booze

Its been three years since they brewered all of their year round stuff in Wilkes-Barre. How is the wool still pulled over everyones eyes? This is not a local brewery. And you bartenders should really know that. 6 POINT is a Marketing ploy!

Re: “The Best Stores in Brooklyn

This is such a through listing of the borough but you really neglected to check out and mention anything in Prospect Heights/Crown Heights, where there is so much happening right now. I hope to see this updated soon.

Re: “50 Great Outdoor Events in Brooklyn This Summer

Ugh, there's no point in posting about Solange if it's already sold out. *sigh* :( I guess I'll just go stand outside of the park and listen (no point in buying a badge--I get back from vacation literally just in time to run to McCarren)...

Re: “What to Expect When You're Expecting Butt Sex

Losing my butt-cherry (to a tall, cute crossdresser) did not hurt at all. It's the best sex I've had so far. I can't understand why more pretty boys don't come after my well-maintained booty!
