Re: “Unknown Local Musician Wears Terrible Hat, Hates Hipsters

I think people need to stop being/acting like hipsters. That would solve a lot of the problems. Why? Because hipsters are annoying, their sentiments are empty and self-serving, and they base THEIR ENTIRE LIFE ON BEING COOL.

Who, here, has seen the movie "Almost Famous"? Of those who have: Remember the moment when Lester gives William advice;

"The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool".

I urge you all to take that to heart. Don't worry about fitting in or fitting out, being ironic for no purposeful reason, being awesome-looking, or perfecting your pickup lines like you were reading from a script. Worry about what's in your heart, and what meaning you rack up in life. Lots of people out there are now living meaningless existences, and that's why they do so many drugs and drink, and chain smoke. They're trying to fill the hole with something else. Fill the hole with love, sharing, and kindness. Fill it with friendship and acceptance. Because nothing else is worth a goddamn shit! Money, fashion, and entertainment are all distractions from empathy and harmony. We need to look at our similarities more than our differences. We need to stop being elitist fucks.

Re: “The Do's and Don'ts Of Dating With Tinder

This is a great a list for women who Tinder. Hilarious! I especially agree with the 'don't fake the age' advice. It really is quite lame when people do that.

I also made a list and a guide although this one's for guys:

".. Then into third, the boomer gear, pushing seventy-five and the beginning of a windscream in the ears, a pressure on the eyeballs like diving into water off a high board.

Bent forward, far back on the seat, and a rigid grip on the handlebars as the bike starts

jumping and wavering int he wind. Taillights far up ahead coming closer, faster and

suddenly—zaaapppp—going up past and leaning down for a curve near the zoo, where
the road swings out to sea.he dunes are flatter here, and on windy days sand blows

But the throttle screwed on there is only the barest margin, and no room at all for

mistakes. It has to be done right
… and that’s when the strange music starts, when you stretch your luck so far that fear becines exhilaration and
vibrates along your arms. You cane barely see at a hundred; the tears blow back so fast that they vaporize before
they get to your ears. The only sounds are the wind and a dull roar floating back from the mufflers.
You watch the white line and try to lean with it … howling through a turn to the right, then to the left,
and down the long hill to Pacifica… letting off now, watching for cops, but only until the next dark stretch
and another few seconds on the edge…the Edge… there is no honest way to explain it because people
who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. the other—the living—are
those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down,
or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later.
...............But the edge is still Out there. Or maybe it’s In......................

Re: “A Most Wanted Man: Citizenfour

I find it interesting that Citizenfour gets press coverage and The Principle does not. Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to seeing Citizenfour, but The Principle (Facebook: ThePrincipleMovie) is a very powerful film featuring Kate Mulgrew (narrator) and top scientists (Krauss, Kakau, Ellis, Tegmark, Carr, Barbour, etc.) talking frankly about new observations seriously questioning the validity of the Copernican Principle. The Principle has almost 70,000 likes and opens tomorrow like Citizenfour, which has less than 3000. Someone is very afraid of The Principle.

Re: “Sex, Love, Brooklyn: The Truth About Limp Dick (aka Whiskey Dick) Syndrome

It’s also beneficial for a man to make sure his tool is in good health (and that is often neglected). Men can use a quality penis health cream (health professionals recommend Man1 Man Oil) to help maintain general penis health.

Re: “Where To Buy Oysters (and How to Shuck Them) in Brooklyn

If you don't mind the trek to Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy, you can pick up oysters from the wholesaler W&T Seafood. They have a variety of oysters/clams/mussels that you can order online and then pick up at the warehouse:

Re: “Domsey's Warehouse Outlet

This is one of the best thrift shops there is. Always, always very clean. Clothing are strategically placed on racks so no unnecessary searching. Very friendly staff. great customer service and the prices are great. The used clothing are never over used so they appear as if you are taking them from a friend's closet and then they are so many new pieces with store tags still actually attached. This store is a thrift shopper paradise.
