There is a new bee's knees every few minutes in New York, but this androgynous, rock and roll and gender-bending glam rock party from DJs Twig the Wonderkid, Michael T, Theo and tonight's host Georgie Seville which is into its second half-decade is more interested in being the Whore's Mascara. Whore's Mascara play tonight, followed by late-night cabaret, their debut album Like This But Sexy has all of the nightlife and sex implied in this listing--is like this, but sexy. $10; $7 with RSVP

What claims to be Brooklyn's only dark wave and post-punk party which caters to "weirdos, punks and queers" is a real rainbow assortment of gloomy-weather dance music spun by DJs Jeffo! and Lark to the cloud-breaking backdrop of Casey Spectacular's projections. Nevermind the sweetness associated with the candy--this month, they celebrate wasted youth. Drink up, taste the rainbow. FREE

All Black Everything

Wednesdays, 10 p.m.

"All Black Everything looks like leather jackets, Beatle boots and black t-shirts. All Black Everything sounds like Led Zeppelin, Joy Division, Alice Cooper, the Chromatics, the Black Keys, the Roots, the White Stripes and Prince." In other words, black dress is encouraged. So is dancing. DJs Johnsville, Roofeeo and Marcos Udagawa host a rock 'n' roll-inspired evening that makes that last part easy.
