I bought "Ain't Gonna Play No Second Fiddle" in high school just on the basis of her Bowie connection and the cool MainMan logo on the back of the record. I remember thinking that the tunes sounded boring and blunt, and never made it through the album. Great work with the new comp here.
Man, why so sad at the end? You're down on yourself; why? You wrote an article that allowed us to experience your experience. That's like recording. The problem, I suspect, is that all but the wisest among us secretly want to be cool, at least sometimes. Otherwise, wouldn't realizing that you can't "fake" something be liberating and centering, rather than being such a letdown?
