Thanks for the info. I'm curious to check it out.
Aaron Kelly screwed up so bad singing that LWR. He even fucked up the words at the end... I'm surprised the judges didn't mention it. But the song is far from boring, Mike. Not sure how old you are... but the song captures the end of an era listening to new Beatles music. But the history of the song makes it all the more interesting. McCartney did not participate in the final remixing done by Phil Spector and to this day hates the final version that appeared on Let It Be. I don't know where we could ever hear the version McCartney wanted to release but Harrison and Lennon backed Spector... which was another Beatles death knell. But coming of age back in 1969-1970 and having songs like The Long and Winding Road to define the times is about as good a tribute to them as possible. And let's not forget David Archuleta's memorable performance of that song in his bid for Idol. David's pure singing voice mimcked McCartney's crystal pure resonance... but you're right about Aaron Kelly. He's good but he can't touch where others have taken that song.
