tickets just went on sale for her philadelphia show, too bad it's on a wed night though...
I miss Pulpo Paul. I read on wiki that his life expectancy is only two years, which means he might not even make it to the next Euro. Life is so sad in how it all ends so soon. And yet, as bad as it all gets, just tell yourself you still have the next World Cup to live for. Four years from now is sooner than you think.
I don't understand all this "the right team won" crap from that Guardian reporter. If Robben scores in the 82nd minute it's all over. The goddamned Pulpo. It's a freaking nightmare. I picked Spain to get knocked out in the group stages and there they go all the way. Can't begrudge them but they were getting lucky in every game. Especially vs Germany who started with some bullshit tactics of walking around/ no pressure football. Low should be fired for that game. Thanks for the coverage here, it was a good read. I'm upset and I was neutral, so imagine Holland today.
oops I take that back, Cruyff the traitor! Did they mistranslate? Can't believe he's going for Spain: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/…
I want Holland to win but I fear a dull 1-0 for Spain. You can't fight fate, and Pulpo Paul has spoken...
btw- 1974 cup was the first one I remember watching, Germany - Poland in the mud is still a vivid nightmare. Someone said if they win they should bring up Cruyff to raise the cup, I think that would be awesome. It's the best players that make a winning team, not so much styles, and Holland for the past 40 years or so almost always had some of the best in the world. It would be fitting for them to win.
In case you were there for the talk yesterday, this is the vid of Totti giving "birth" that the guy couldn't find: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2zdz9hXc2Q…
Lalas was the only guy to call this for Holland if I'm not mistaken last night on the ESPN quarter finals preview. Gullitt called it for Brazil and Macca called him a traitor! I'm freaking drained, a game of two halves. Shades of 1950. Brazilians are crying in the street in Astoria.
