Paddy, at first I thought you were a guy by the way you spell your name but then it began to dawn on me, the more I read your blog, that you were a girl! You can tell by my choice of words that I'm a guy and much older, I went to Pratt back in the sixties, and you know I hated the whole gallery/dealer and museum art world thing right from the get-go and so I made a vow to never be a part of it. Yet that didn't stop me from doing my painting and expanding myself in to being artistic about life and enjoying the modernist zeitgeist of the 20th century. Art today has lost some of it's soul and has allowed itself to become too intellectual which means that everything is debatable. Art is a state of grace, it either is or it isn't! you can't fake it. Art is not a business, it's not a career, it's not a star system, it's not a science, it's not a technology, it's not a "personal expression". It's what makes us human. And, BTW I really enjoy your art blog so keep up the good work you never know whose reading.
