Re: “Goodbye to All That

Can't wait to read the Mark Asch missives from Iceland, wherever those will be published. Warmest, fuzziest luck to an awesome editor and film critic.

Re: “The 10 Most Ridiculous Things Old White Men Have Proposed About Women And Vaginas

It's also worth noting that in order to maintain or resurrect this privileged power Mark mentions, many of these people are undermining the very principles they have sworn to uphold, especially with regard to protection of individual rights (see Fourth Amendment). Of course, if women are considered less like people and more like farm animals, probing and taxing and otherwise regulating reproductive and sexual activity is more justifiable...as part of an outdated and warped worldview that says men should have dominion over the earth and all its creatures. The fact that we have to address this in the United States in 2012 is insane.

Re: “20 Musician 'Collage' Project Premieres First Video, Miraculously Avoids Sounding Like Girl Talk

@Nice Wasn't meant to be patronizing or demeaning in the slightest. Here: It's probably difficult to "get" the Kony controversy if you don't watch the video, as it's difficult to "get" what separates Dancefloor from your average mash-up if you don't listen. Keep the nickel.

Re: “NYC Tourism Targets Twenty-Somethings, Officially Alerts Tourists To The Turkey's Nest

@dennissinned It was the grim prospect of an unprecedented flood of tourists to the bar. Perhaps you're the more reasonable for not caring. Que sera sera.

Re: “A Galling Omission From Time Out's "100 Best NYC Songs" List

Yep, agreed. Santigold's "L.E.S. Artistes" was also absent.
