Thank you for emphasizing the important things about this study:
1) Even though bicycling has gone up exponentially, pedestrian injuries have gone down.
2) Cars injure, often much more severely, over 70,000 people a year in New York City.
3) Of bicycle induced injuries, 9 out of 10 are treated in the ER or other out-patient settings, implying that while painful and unfortunate, they are not life-threatening on the whole.
I know everyone loves to hate Park Slope, but why does one person's action condemn the whole neighborhood? Just asking.
