And...there goes my nabe...Bed-Stuy, we had a nice decent run. A total of 8 years before white folks decided you were safe enough to dip their little pinky toes in. Alas, I shall look at real estate in East New York. At least I'll be closer to JFK, and thus, have an even quicker access to a permanent escape route from NYC when it all becomes too much...
You forgot about Hiatus Kaiyote...they're performing a couple of shows; one on Thurs (3/21) at Brooklyn Bowl and the other on Friday (3/22) at Le Poisson Rouge...they were, by far, one of the best bands at SXSW this year....just sayin'
Great review...so good that I think I may get rid of my cable and just read your reviews...#deadserious
I'm just glad Bed-Stuy was left off the list. Although it's already gentrified, I don't want it to get more so. Stay in Fort Greene, Clinton Hill and Crown Heights...Please & thanks...
i'm gonna have to pass on the drinking in the subway...gross.com...nyc subways are so nasty, i scoff at the sight of people eating and/or drinking in the subway stations and on the subways. it's like the equivalent of drinking/eating in some dirty, grimey alley surrounded by walls of trash and families of rats...then again, some new yorkers actually do this, for fun...
