The main problem with this is that the MTA has failed to mitigate the outage. They haven't been operating the M to midtown -- which could do wonders for relieving congestion on the shuttles. They haven't provided enough shuttle buses at station points, and absolutely too few shuttles to service stations in between. They have fumbled this so badly they haven't even managed road traffic at the corners of Union and Metropolitan or Metropolitan and Lorimer so that even traffic is backing up through north Brooklyn while buses try to navigate through here.
The bottom line is the MTA has handled this service interruption with the grace of a porcupine in a balloon factory.
The main difference between "East Bushwick" and "East Williamsburg" as neighborhoods is that "East Williamsburg" existed historically as a the third district in the independent city of Williamsburg.
Actually, she lives in East Williamsburg.
