If these acts are the French establishment, who are the young French upstarts?
I agree with Steve's point that the album format is still a relevant, and most useful, standard for the music industry. But I also see Jeff's point that an album *release* is no biggie, even among music fans. There's no threat it will sellout at the record store, you can hear it/buy it whenever, so time or inaccessibility is not a critical factor building anticipation.
Woah, had seen this already but did not catch the walk to the elevator! I like him a lot. For trash-talking Morrissey for one but his music is great and he has the chops to back up whatever avatar he uses.

I like! I only know The Knife from Heartbeat, which I loved, and I didn't get too into the album. She does a Kim Gordon-esque talk-singing here. If you like the steady minimal-techno beat you might also like "Diamond Girl" by Beatamines
