I was born in New York and I lived here most of my life. New York was once a great city. There are still vestiges of a great city. But right now New York is good for bankers and tourists. It is a deeply inhumane place with pockets of glamour and excitement and sometimes art. But Giuliani killed the city. I moved to Los Angeles six months ago and I haven't been happier in years. Never thought I'd say that.
