It's really just an assembly of surfaces without much depth, reflecting back to us whatever we already believe. But all of this is ok because that's WHAT COMIC BOOKS DO. We can dig as much as we like but there really isn't much there beyond dorm-room 101 tragic choices and by-the-book anti-heroism — it's Left, it's Right, it's Anarchic, it's Conservative... but it's not coherent. Fun to watch but, meh, if there's moral prescription there, it isn't much more than a placebo.
