      <![CDATA[The crowd I saw it with didn't seem angry about the "learn more about the case!" card, just the anticlimax. But for me at least it made sense thematically: the possessing demon(s?) seemed like a retribution-meting judge, so it made sense it would wipe out all those established sinners in one final fell swoop.

      <![CDATA[That's a good point, and is probably the root a lot of the booing... I guess my question is more: why on earth does anyone watching horror movies have such collosal expectations of regarding getting scared out of their wits (rather than, you know, creeped out or jumped-scared or temporarily shocked)?

      <![CDATA[The audience I watched The Blair Witch Project with back in 1999 booed when it ended. I was in Ireland at the time, and I think the crowd was all hyped up by the idea of America's next big horror movie, and not expecting it to be a cheap, low-key indie flick.
