In celebration of the Costume Institute's new partnership with the Brooklyn Museum, the former has borrowed this collection from the latter, assembling a chronicle of how the evolution of American fashion between 1890 and 1940 has shaped contemporary States-side femininity. Appropriately, Sarah Jessica Parker narrates the exhibition audio guide.
