After a strong solo debut last fall, Ursuta returns with a solitary, monumental sculpture built to fill the entire Lower East Side gallery: an approximation of a trebuchet, a medieval catapult, with which a self-portrait dummy was sent smashing into a gallery wall on opening night. Adapted from a 1984 Ilya Kabakov installation, Ursuta's absurd weapon features a bizarre range of materials, including tiles torn from the gallery's floor.
