Used to be that the Bushwick-based painter's street scenes featured forms made of bricks mostly as architectural backdrop, but lately his large-scale canvases are all brick, with whole landscapes and mysterious figures made up of rectangular forms and mortar. Weather and geological phenomena seem to be an interest in his recent series, which feature lightning bolts, icebergs, volcanoes, mountains and hurricanes, all painstakingly assembled with bricks of color.
