The Lower East Side
I hear about it on the news, but I don’t pay a lot of attention to it. Sometimes it doesn’t make a lot of sense to pay attention to politics in New York because everyone here is a Democrat, so only Democrats win. I’m happy they do, but national politics seem more important. [Did you know New York hasn’t had a Democratic mayor since before Giuliani?]
Really? That’s crazy. But I guarantee that streak comes to an end
I heard that Anthony Wiener may run. That’s hilarious. It’s insane that people like him just bounce back. Someone told me that Spitzer was maybe going to try for governor or something again. These people! [So you wouldn’t consider voting for Wiener?]
Well, maybe. He seemed like a smart guy, just a dumbass and a pervert. I don’t know who else is running. I know a woman is, and that she’s supposed to be smart, but that’s it. I don’t know her name.
No, I’m not. Isn’t that a while from now? But I don’t really care. I actually wish Bloomberg could run again. I think he’s done a great job with the city. I like what he does with guns and the environment. The next person probably won’t be as good as him, so why change if he could win again? Term limits don’t make sense to me.
The Barclays Center
I hate talking about elections. It’s always elections; no one wants to talk about the shit that’s actually going on. All politicians care about is not losing their jobs. They don’t care about how the people out here are losing our jobs! Obama just started his second term, but people talk about Hillary more than Obama. And anytime any Republican does something, it’s because they might run for president. I’m sick of it. I used to like politics in school, but now I hate everything.
