Ava Luna are a local group who embrace the return towards soulful R&B singing in indie circles, yet refuse to give up the thick and queasy low end of sludgy noise punk. Moon King, from Toronto, are a little more overtly rock n’ roll than that, their swirling, psychedelic electro-punk sound comes on fun and fast.
