Around this time last year, Dave Portner was saying he wouldn't tour in support of his first-ever solo album, Down There, a web of waterlogged synths and self-recorded samples that slogged through his sister's fight with cancer and own divorce. "I don't know if it's something I want to deal with night after night again, revisiting some of the feelings that went into [it]," he told Tiny Mix Tapes. But it would seem that he's now looking to exorcise those emotions on a quick 12-city jaunt, perhaps before leading the indie world in 2012 with a new album from his other band?
