Bad Dates and Great Fashion

What's your favorite thing to do in Brooklyn with a significant other?
On Saturdays, when I'm not at the store, my boyfriend and I like to bike over and get lobster rolls at the Red Hook Lobster Pound. We always make sure to stop at local florist Saipua on our way. She not only has beautiful blooms but to-die-for soaps as well. For drinks, Clover Club in Cobble Hill is idyllic. Ask to sit in the back room by the fire to up the romance quotient.

Do you have a best/worst date story?
Worst date: He tried to impress my friends at dinner with a magic trick. It was the ever-classic whip off the table cloth trick. Needless to say he failed.
Best date: Watching a movie last summer on the big outdoor screen in Dumbo. Make sure you get treated to a Blue Marble ice cream!

Favorite spring additions to the store?
For spring, I'm loving all the surf-inspired looks. Trovata, Ace and Jig, and Whit all came out with new collections full of pretty stripes that feel more at home in Big Sur than on the Seine—although try and keep me from my ballet flats.

Favorite spring trends?
We've embraced the major jewel-toned story at Thistle and Clover this spring. That means saying goodbye to the grays, taupes and beiges of fall and winter. I'm looking forward to sprucing up my neutral wardrobe with pretty, bright hues from Geren Ford, Myne and Aaron Ashe.
