For those of you who still dedicate certain portions of your day to talking about how much you resent Vampire Weekend for the way they steal so liberally from music that falls outside the regular white people stuff, consider this: far more people than ever before who never had any interest in anything that wasn't released by Matador and Sub Pop will likely be out to see this two-day celebration of Afro-punk, if only because they confused vague references to Afro-pop with Afro-punk. Could be worse, right? Featuring Saul Williams, Janelle Monae, Earl Greyhound and many others.
