Watching Beirut’s headlining set at this year’s Northside Festival felt like a real victory for our little festival-that-could. There were horns aplenty, a double rainbow, and you, throngs of Brooklynites hanging on to Zach Condon’s every word. To relive that sort of experience now having familiarity with The Rip Tide—Beirut’s latest, most focused, perhaps best release to date—should make for a perfect evening, even if it does mean having to stand inside Terminal 5 as opposed to outdoors at McCarren Park.
