It feels like forever since we've heard from Brooklyn's Bishop Allen — probably because their last record, Grrr, the follow up to 2007's outstanding The Broken String, came and went with very little fanfare. We went back and listened to it again the other day, and let us tell you: you should as well. It's not as obviously great as The Broken String, but it's got enough undeniably perfect moments that we feel comfortable telling you it got the short end of the stick.
