Brooklyn Bridge Park inaugurates their new summer reading series this month with evenings curated by the borough’s bookstores. Tonight, powerHouse presents The Daily Show creator, reading from her collection of essays, Lizz Free or Die. Next Monday, WORD presents Jim Shepard and others for “Short Story Night.” Upcoming in August: Patti Smith and Martin Amis—not together, alas, but still. (She’s 8/6, he’s 8/13.)
