Briac Leprêtre: Like It Is

Thursdays-Sundays. Continues through June 19 2011

This should be fun: the French lightweight carpenter creates huge immersive environments—a replica of a wood-framed house, an olympic diving board, a wood-paneled apartment—out of styrofoam. Exhibitions often end with Leprêtre destroying said sculptural architectures. Here he's making something that, according to a press release, "appears to be an essential structural part of the gallery’s architecture," along with a series of concrete sculptures and small watercolors.
