True, the self-titled debut album under Broken Bells fell a bit short of expectations, considering the songwriting power behind the project, that being James Mercer of The Shins and Brian Burton, aka Danger Mouse. But should we really be complaining that one of the premier indie-rock singers and hip-hop producers of our time are performing together tonight in NYC? Probably not.
