Pace is really nailing it with the thematic exhibitions lately, huh? There was Soft Machines over the summer, and the just-closed Social Media, and now a show all about light bulbs! Some inclusions seem obvious—Tim Noble and Sue Webster's playful silhouette lights, Zhang Xiaogang's disparately lit portrait paintings, and bright garlands by Felix Gonzalez-Torres, for instance—while others like compulsive heart painter Jim Dine fit the theme less self-evidently.
