As we write this, with another three registration weeks before the studio doors swing open on what, in our taste-making opinion, is the city’s most important and excellent art fair, there are over 275 artists, venues and events participating in the 2010 Bushwick Open Studios. From group exhibitions and performances to lectures, readings and good old-fashioned open studios, the ‘hood-wide art party is your best chance to see the next contemporary art stars before they get big and start designing t-shirts for Rodarte or something.
