Continuing the Guggenheim’s excellently booked "Divine Ricochet" music series, but taking it in a much louder direction, is this session with goth flag-bearers Cold Cave. Wes Eisold’s band has come along way from the tinny, tiny synth pop of 2009's Love Comes Close. His band does big, bleeding heart stuff with overdriven guitars and over-emotive lyrics now, and they are better for it. Is there new post-Cherish the Light Years material, we wonder? Is it even more humongous?
